Project Details

The project involved the complete design, fabrication, factory testing, delivery, installation, load testing, final commissioning, and dismantling of the old crane. The newly installed Intake Emergency Gantry Crane boasts an impressive lifting capacity of 585 tons, a lifting height of 183 ft, a dead weight of 850 tons, a height of 85 ft, and a span of 26 ft. We successfully replaced and installed new pole bases, poles, and conductor wires. As part of the project, we carried out the safe removal and disposal of the existing 480-ton gantry crane, which contained hazardous materials such as lead-based paint and asbestos.

BCI, acting as the subcontractor, achieved a remarkable 100% completion rate in the removal and installation of live conductor wires, conductor poles, their concrete bases, live wires, as well as the proper tensioning and alignment.
