Project Details
On this project, BCI successfully delivered a new trolley to the Government, surpassing the contract’s refurbishment requirement. Through a Value Engineering Change Proposal (VECP), the Government saved $65k. Key project elements included up-rating the 50-ton bridge crane to 60-ton, making structural modifications to the existing bridge, replacing the cab, controls, lights, control and power wiring, bridge drive motor, gearbox, and brake, as well as the Crane Buss Bar. Additionally, end trucks were removed and refurbished, while remaining components and systems underwent thorough inspection and servicing. The project concluded with the recertification of the crane to its 60-ton rating through acceptance and load testing.
