Trinity Dam

This project included the removal of calcium carbonate (Calcite) buildup from the walls of the valve Bonnet Chamber, gate shaft, and both slots for Fixed Wheel Gate. We performed a Proof-by-Demonstration to ensure that the gate slots can accommodate future removal of the Gate. Additionally, we surveyed the walls and pressure grouted the cracks found on the cleaned wall and slot surfaces. To enhance functionality, we refurbished the joints of the 24-inch pipe and the 20-inch pipe, and furnished and installed restraint supports. Furthermore, we designed, furnished, installed, and tested an Electro-Osmotic Pulse (EOP) System for the Calcite mitigation system in the Gate Shaft.
